In November of 2005 our program was approved as a Master of Information Systems Security Management degree program by the Campus Alberta Quality Council and Alberta Advanced Education and Technology.
We are deeply committed to the quality of our program and the research climate we have created. Our mission reinforces this commitment. Click here to read our mission statement.
The need for security professionals is growing along with increasing reliance on e-business. The employer demand for information systems security professionals shows no end in sight. With the help of the Information Systems Security Advisory Committee, the program maintains a sharp focus on the needs of employers and changes in industry.
Browse through our site, take a look at the curriculum and other features of the program. Our curriculum is strong, deep and prepares students for many systems security roles and for industry certifications such as the CISSP and SANS security designations.
For new full-time students to the program, the program includes a laptop computer to keep, office software and a preparation course to enable students to write the exam for the designation of Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). Please note it is the responsibility of the student to register and pay for the actual CISSP exam. Contact the Program Director for further details.
